It saw massive success in Japan, which lead to the idea of releasing the system internationally. Nintendo wanted to work with the company Atari to release it in other countires . Those plans fell through due to Coleco developing a computer version of Donkey Kong for the Coleco ADAM, the Video Game Crash Of 1983, and Atari's upcoming 7800.  Consequently Nintendo decided to make their own version of the Family Computer for the internatioal market.                 ...

          The FamicomBox: The Famicom For The Hotel    Introduction Have you ever been to a hotel? If you have, it is very likely that they may have a console you can play in your room. If you were in Japan in late 80s you would have had access to the FamicomBox. A famicom intended for hotel use.   Details   The FamicomBox is a silver metal box. It can hold 15 famicom games at once. The unique thing about the games is that their shells are the same as your standard NES cartridge. All of the games have the same label. These games will only work on the FamicomBox system. Meaning if you buy a FamicomBox game it will not work on any regular retail famicom or NES. Many games like Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, Wild Gunman, Exitebike, Ice Climbers, Bomberman, Donkey Kong 1 and 2, Gradius, Rockman and many more are on this system.                                          Super Mario Land Review    The Story Since this game was directed without Super Mario's creator Shigeru Miyamoto's involvement, they decided to change up the story and characters. Besides Mario himself, no other characters from the previous games make any appearances.  The plot is about a space monster named Tatanga, he hypnotizes the people of all 4 kingdoms of Sarasaland. Tatanga conquers all of the kingdoms and kidnaps Princess Daisy. But of course  to no surprise, it's Mario who has to save the day. Gameplay It is a fun platformer game as any Mario game should be. There are 8 worlds which contain 3 levels each. There are also special levels including submarine shooting, the final boss fight, and an entire shoot 'em up level.
